Message for the additional off-the-bat cost, plus the additional NVH (and turnaround time if you end up having to replace a badly vibrating one), it's not a mod I would ever bother doing. The diameter of the driveshaft is so small that even a lighter one would have relatively little difference in rotational mass. And in 9 years of Z32 ownership, I only had to replace a CSB once.

I only recommend the best replacement parts/mods for a Z32 (I've been young and ignored the wisdom of the people on this site and experienced the downfall of doing so) - if one part is better overall than another for the purposes of that car, that's the part that I recommend. And I've never recommended a 1-piece driveshaft. That might not mean anything to you, but maybe it does.
